HISTORY
Illawarra Steelworks is a family business jointly founded by brothers Joe and Rudy Boiano with the support of brothers Michael and Danny Berry. Illawarra Steelworks are supported by ACT Steelworks who have over 55 years experience in the steel industry.

Our people drive the delivery of our services.
We execute projects from design through to manufacture and installation. Engaging over 15 employees, the Illawarra Steelworks workforce comprises full-time drafting professionals, qualified fabricators and welders, riggers, truck drivers, fencing installers and metal fabrication apprentices.

PRACTICES
Steel is the world’s most
recyclable material.
Due to its structural efficiencies, durability and recyclable capabilities, steel is a viable sustainable material essential to our society. We purchase our steel from Australian Responsible Steelmakers such as Infrabuild or Southern Steel.
We separate aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel and recyclable office materials from our waste to minimise our impact on landfill.
Illawarra Steelworks are the only fabricator in the region to be certified to Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) Certification Program certifying our business against best practice environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators aligned to the principles under the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) Responsible Product Framework.
